About the Latin Grammy Awards

The Latin Grammys reward music recorded in Spanish and Portuguese, wherever it comes from. They are presented by the Latin Recording Academy, and the first ceremony took place in Los Angeles in 2000.

Like the Grammys, they have four general categories — Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist — which are the ones listed on this page.

The ceremony takes place in November and almost always in the United States. The 2023 edition, in Seville, was the first held outside the country.
