SOS is a huge album — thirty tracks — that should be too long but is not quite. SZA has a way of fusing R&B with alternative rock and pop that sounds completely her own. "Kill Bill" and "Shirt" are two of the best songs she has written; "Snooze" has a hook that lasts for days. The album has imbalances in the second half but the first is extraordinary. An artist at the peak of her form.
