Good News arrives when Megan Thee Stallion was already a phenomenon with «Hot Girl Summer» and needed to prove she could sustain it across a full album. The result is uneven: there are strong moments of aggressive, self-asserting rap, and others where the album loses focus. «Savage» with Beyoncé is her pop peak, but the album version feels less urgent than the single. More notable as a statement of intent than a cohesive work.
