Beerbongs & Bentleys is Post Malone confirming his debut was no fluke: the emo-rap and sedated pop of «Rockstar» and «Psycho» have a pull other trap artists would envy. The dark, melodic production works as a backdrop for a voice that sounds permanently resigned. The album has too many tracks and loses momentum midway, but when it hits — «Better Now», «Stay» — it hits well.
