📖 Synopsis

Carl Fredricksen is 78 years old, lives alone in the house he built with his late wife Ellie, and refuses to leave it even as everything around him changes. When developers pressure him to move out, Carl ties thousands of balloons to the house and embarks on the journey to Venezuela he always promised Ellie. What follows is an adventure that includes the young explorer Russell, a talking dog named Dug, and Carl's childhood hero. The first ten minutes of Up are considered the greatest prologue in film history.

✍️ Our review

8.4/10 ★★★★☆

The first ten minutes of Up are the most perfect short film about love and loss that Pixar has ever produced. The rest is heartfelt family adventure. Dug is animation's greatest canine character.
