Singin' in the Rain

Hollywood, 1927. The film industry is preparing for the biggest change in its history: the arrival of sound. Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are the romantic couple of the silent screens, but the problem is that Lina's voice is a disaster. With his friend Cosmo and the promising singer and actress Kathy, Don must come up with a way to save the studio's first sound film. Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O'Connor star in the most cheerful and technically virtuosic musical in Hollywood history.

Singin' in the Rain is the happiest musical movie that exists. The scene of Gene Kelly with the umbrella and the puddle is pure cinema. More than seventy years later, it remains the reference standard of the genre.
