📖 Synopsis
Two lighthouse keepers are trapped on a rocky island in 19th-century New England as a storm prolongs beyond expectations. Madness, power, and the divine intertwine in a spiral of delirium. Robert Eggers films in black and white and nearly square format, creating a claustrophobic nightmare where Dafoe and Pattinson devour each other in scenes of fierce intensity. A film as strange as it is hypnotic, inhabiting the subconscious like an ancient myth.
