📖 Synopsis
Fifteen-year-old Paul Atreides is thrust into a dangerous destiny when his family, House Atreides, is sent to the desert planet Arrakis—also known as Dune—to oversee the extraction of melange, the most valuable substance in the universe. Paul begins experiencing visions of the future intertwined with the desert-dwelling Fremen culture, while political machinations within the Empire threaten his family. Denis Villeneuve adapts Frank Herbert's supposedly unfilmable novel with breathtaking visual scale and a powerful score by Hans Zimmer, making Arrakis feel utterly real.
✍️ Our review
Dune is the greatest world-building achievement in science fiction cinema since Jackson's trilogy. Villeneuve films the desert like no one before. The second part confirms that this adaptation surpasses its source material in narrative clarity.
