📖 Synopsis

Stanley Kubrick explored in 1968 the origin of man, the evolution of intelligence, and the destiny of humanity in the cosmos in four movements: the dawn of man, the moon, the journey to Jupiter with the HAL 9000 computer, and the final transformation of astronaut Bowman into something that transcends humanity. With virtually no dialogue in its first two and last two parts, 2001 conveys through image and music what language cannot express.

✍️ Our review

9.5/10 ★★★★★

The greatest visual poem of science fiction. Kubrick filmed it as if it were an unanswered question about what we are. Each viewing at 20, 30, 40 years returns a different film. Absolutely essential.
