Stranger Things

In 1983, in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, the boy Will Byers disappears without a trace and his mother Joyce detects strange communications through the house lights. His friends Mike, Dustin, and Lucas search for Will and find Eleven, a girl with psychic powers who has escaped from a secret government laboratory. The Duffer brothers built a loving tribute to Spielberg, King, and 80s cinema that transcends nostalgia and creates its own mythology.

Stranger Things achieved the almost impossible: 80s nostalgia without being a parody. The chemistry of the Hawkins group is genuine and the mythology of the Upside Down grows organically. With each season, its characters mature and the risk increases.
