📖 Synopsis
The protagonists, urbanites from Madrid, arrive in a picturesque village in Castile and, in a matter of hours, find themselves trapped in an unfamiliar agricultural routine. Between the Sunday fair and market rituals, the series "The Village" (2019) shows how rural life hits these newcomers with traditions they never imagined. Humor arises from cultural clashes: the tug of the mill rope, the improvised paella with local chorizo, and the affectionate insults from neighbors who already know them by sight. In my opinion, the comedy makes one laugh at how quickly the mundane becomes absurd, while celebrating the Castilian idiosyncrasy without falling into clichés. The plot, although simple, maintains a rhythm that alternates between short dialogues and longer moments, making it perfect for a laughter marathon.
