Tesla is an electric vehicle and clean energy company founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, later joined by Elon Musk. It manufactures the Model S, 3, X, Y and Cybertruck, and also produces energy storage systems (Powerwall, Megapack) and solar panels. Tesla operates its own Supercharger network and is developing full self-driving software, making it both a car manufacturer and a technology company.
