🏢 About Red Eléctrica
Red Eléctrica de España (REE) is the Spanish electricity system operator and the sole high-voltage transmission network operator in Spain. A semi-public company established in 1985, it manages around 45,000 km of transmission lines and is responsible for guaranteeing the security of electricity supply. In 2021 the company rebranded as Redeia and expanded into fibre telecommunications.
