Oasis was J Balvin's answer to mainstream reggaeton's peak: softer production, tropical urban rhythms and collaborations aiming to broaden his reach beyond the genre. "Un Lugar" with Bad Bunny and "Otro Fili" with Jhay Cortez demonstrate his versatility. Sonically pleasant, yet lacking the punch of Energia or later projects. A transitional record rather than an artistic statement.
