With 25, Adele proved she could do more than one brilliant breakup album. The production is more orchestral and ambitious than 21, though it occasionally skirts the grandiose too comfortably. "Hello" was the inevitable single; "When We Were Young" and "Million Years Ago" show more nuance. Her voice at this point was simply extraordinary. It is not her most daring record, but it never pretended to be.
