Volver

Three generations of women deal with family secrets while surviving the east wind, fire, insanity, superstition, lies and even death.

Volver is Almodóvar at his most graceful: Penélope Cruz delivers the definitive performance of her career. The most deeply rooted in La Mancha and yet the most universal film in his filmography. A seamless blend of comedy, thriller, and melodrama by a master of all three.
