The King's Speech

The Duke of York, destined to become King George VI of England, suffers from a severe stutter that threatens to hinder his leadership during the darkest hours of World War II. With the help of an eccentric speech therapist, he embarks on an unlikely journey to find his own voice. Tom Hooper directs an intimate and powerful drama that won four Oscars, where Colin Firth delivers an exceptional performance about fear and courage.

Perfectly English: reserved, dry, and emotional in equal measure. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are wonderful together. A well-deserved Oscar, even competing with The Social Network.
