📖 Synopsis
Thomas Anderson is a programmer by day and a nighttime hacker known as Neo who discovers that the world he knows is a computer simulation called the Matrix, created by intelligent machines to keep humanity in mental slavery while harvesting their body heat. Morpheus, the rebel who frees him, believes Neo is the Chosen One who can destroy the Matrix. The Wachowski sisters released in 1999 the most visually and philosophically influential science fiction film of its generation.
