Dune

Paul Atreides, heir to a noble family, travels to the planet Arrakis, the only place in the universe where the most valuable substance in the cosmos—spice—is produced. There, he will discover his destiny among the desert tribes. Denis Villeneuve adapts Frank Herbert's epic novel with a colossal, meditative, and visually overwhelming vision. A science fiction film that sounds like Wagner and moves like a dream: the most ambitious sci-fi film since 2001.

Villeneuve adapts what was considered unadaptable. The first part is a masterpiece of world-building, cinematography, and production design. The beginning of an epic trilogy.
