📖 Synopsis
New England, 1630. A Puritan family is banished from their community and settles beside a dark forest where something terrible begins to happen: the baby disappears, the crops fail, and paranoia takes over everyone. Robert Eggers makes his debut with a horror film that is also an essay on religious fanaticism, sexual repression, and fear as a means of control. Atmospheric, dense, and genuinely disturbing.
