Fallen Leaves (2023) is a Finnish film directed by Aki Kaurismäki. Winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes. Two lonely people on the margins of Helsinki society keep running into each other and, despite every obstacle, try to build something like a relationship.

Kaurismäki's driest, warmest film in years. Deadpan humor and genuine melancholy coexist in every scene. A love story stripped down to its bare essentials — and all the better for it.
