Alcarràs

In the last summer before solar panels replace the peach trees, a family of Catalan farmers struggles to keep their way of life together. Carla Simón films with tenderness and urgency the end of an era: working the land as heritage, identity, and love. Winner of the Golden Bear in Berlin, it's an intimate and universal portrait of uprooting and family memory.

Golden Bear in Berlin. Carla Simón films the end of a way of life with extraordinary naturalness. Completely hypnotic.
