Brief Answers to the Big Questions
📖 Synopsis
Is there a God? Will we survive? Hawking's final reflections on the universe and the future, in plain language.
Hawking's posthumous book has the merit of being accessible without being condescending. The questions it addresses — the existence of God, the future of humanity, artificial intelligence, climate change — are the ones that matter most and he answers them with honesty about what science can and cannot say. It is brief, direct and at times frustrating in its lack of depth, but as an introduction to Hawking's thinking outside pure physics it is a good starting point.
