Square Enix parked the turn-based combat and delivered an action-RPG with a Game of Thrones flavor, directed by the Devil May Cry crew. The Eikon battles are among the most spectacular set pieces the JRPG has ever produced. In exchange, the RPG side is thinner than some wanted.
