Joanne
📖 About this album
Lady Gaga's fifth studio album, a stripped-back departure into singer-songwriter territory with country and rock influences. Named after her late aunt Joanne Germanotta.
📝 Our review
Joanne surprised those expecting another Artpop spectacle: it's a more restrained album with acoustic guitars and nods to country and Southern rock. Lady Gaga shows a rawer side, paying tribute to her late aunt. «Million Reasons» is her best song from this period. The result is uneven — some collaborations don't fit — but it proves Gaga has more depth than her most theatrical persona suggests.
