In Our Heads arrived with Hot Chip already consolidated and sounds exactly like it: dance electronics with confidence and no urgency to prove anything. The production is polished and the group knows how to combine high-energy moments with melancholic synthetic ballads. "Flutes" is perhaps their best cut here, built on repetitive samples that somehow don't tire. It doesn't reinvent the group's formula but executes it with ease.
