Éxodo is the album that consolidated Peso Pluma as a global phenomenon of corridos tumbados. The blend of norteño with trap has here a more polished production than in previous work. The Guadalajara rapper has instinct for the hook and the lyrics carry the narrative ambiguity characteristic of modern narcocorrido. Not a record for everyone, but within its genre a clear reference point.
