📖 Synopsis
Henry Hill grew up in Brooklyn wanting to be a gangster. From the age of 13, when he started running errands for the local mob boss, to his entry into the witness protection program thirty years later, Scorsese tells his story—based on Nicholas Pileggi's book "Wiseguy"—with unprecedented narrative energy: tracking shots, dual voice-over, musical editing, and a portrayal of criminal camaraderie that turns the viewer into an accomplice before they even realize it.
✍️ Our review
GoodFellas is the engine of modern crime storytelling. Scorsese handles the camera like a jazz instrument: controlled improvisation. Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, and De Niro at their peak. A reference point for every gangster film that followed.
