Viana Chat

On a rainy Thursday evening, Manuel, a 28‑year‑old barista from Madrid, leans back in his chair, fingers tapping the keyboard, and types in #Viana for the first time. He hears the familiar click of a Spanish keyboard, the distant echo of a Spanish phone ringtone, and the soft murmur of people from all over Spain. A quick “¡Hola, Viana!” from a user in Valencia makes him smile. He stays because the room never feels like a generic chat; it feels like a second home where his love for local festivals is instantly understood.

Conversations here swing from the mundane to the absurd. One thread debates whether the 2024 Copa del Rey final should have been played in Seville or Bilbao, while another discusses the best churros recipe from a small town in Andalusia. A regular jokes about the endless bureaucracy of Spanish municipalities, and someone else shares a photo of a forgotten church in Viana de la Sierra, sparking nostalgia and a flood of memories. The tone is often dry humor, but when a user posts a photo of a new street art mural in their town, the room erupts in supportive comments and local gossip.

What sets this room apart is the mix of accents that sounds like a Spanish dialect mash‑up: a Catalan speaker from Barcelona, a Basque from Bilbao, a Galician from Santiago, and a Castilian from Salamanca all chat side by side. An unwritten rule is that every Friday at 10 pm, the room lights up with a “Viana Bingo” game where participants try to find the most obscure fact about their town. Only those who've been there for years know the inside jokes—like the legendary “el chorro de la calle de la Mota” that never actually exists. It’s a ritual that keeps the room alive long after midnight.

Joining is as simple as opening the ChatZona app or visiting the website, typing any nickname you like, and typing #Viana. No registration needed. Whether you’re on a phone during a coffee break or on a desktop at home, you’ll find the room buzzing with activity. It would be unusual if nobody replied within the first two minutes of your entry, so dive in and see what the locals are talking about.
