About Curicó Chat
Curicó is the wine-harvest city of Chile’s Maule region: every March it holds the Fiesta de la Vendimia with the valley’s vineyards, each year dedicated to a different guest country (Mexico in 2026). #curico is its new room on ChatZona.

Curicó is known as the capital of Chilean cycling — Roberto Muñoz, winner of the 1983 Vuelta de Chile, and Luis Sepúlveda, who won it in 1999 and 2000, both came from here — and Curicó Unido finished third in the top division in 2022 before playing the 2023 Copa Libertadores. The town is also known for the plaza de Armas with its sixty Canary Island date palms and its 1906 iron bandstand, for its tortas curicanas — Tortas Montero has held a Guinness record for the world’s largest cake since 1995 — and for the express train that since 2024 reaches Santiago’s Estación Central in about two hours.
