World Without End
📖 Synopsis
Two centuries after The Pillars of the Earth, Kingsbridge endures the Black Death and war. Follett returns to the cathedral with more drama.
Follett returns to Kingsbridge with the same formula that worked in The Pillars of the Earth: epic history, characters with long arcs, a setting that shifts across generations. The Black Death and the Hundred Years' War provide a darker backdrop than the medieval cathedral. Possibly more mechanical than the first, but equally enjoyable. For those who loved The Pillars and want more of the same — it does not disappoint as a sequel.
