On Heroes and Tombs
📖 Synopsis
Love, madness and a delirious "Report on the Blind" in Sabato's Buenos Aires. A total, feverish novel.
✍️ ChatZona's review
Sabato built a multi-layered novel that includes one of the most disturbing texts in Argentine literature: the Report on the Blind, which can be read separately as a philosophical horror novella. The sick love between Martín and Alejandra coexists with the Buenos Aires of the 1950s in a book that does not seek to please. It demands much of the reader, sometimes excessively, but those who find its rhythm are unlikely to forget it.
