The Wise Man's Fear
📖 Synopsis
Kvothe continues his training and travels in the second part of the Kingkiller Chronicle. More world, more magic, more waiting.
The second volume of the Kingkiller Chronicle is longer and more diffuse than The Name of the Wind, which can read as depth or excess depending on the reader's patience. Kvothe travels, learns, falls in love, and fights, but the central story advances less than the length promises. Rothfuss builds worlds with impressive skill, and the third volume has remained unpublished since 2011. For genre devotees, one of the finest worlds in modern fantasy; for the casual reader, it may feel excessive.
